In the course of years 1975-1995 there were realized inventory research of beetles for two research areas in environment of Slovenská L'upča (Central Slovakia) in the orographic unit Zvolen fold (Zvolenská kotlina). Altogether there were found 650 species from 55 beetle families. From the point of view of species composition the June was found as the best season with 450 species, in May was found 381, in July 263 and in August 124 species. As the most frequent family there was found Curculionidae with 180 species, then Carabidae with 66, Chrysomelidae with 53, Staphylinidae with 49, and Cerambycidae with 48 species. The most interesting species on the background of Slovakian beetle fauna were considered: Benibotarus taygetanus (Pic,1905), Litargus balteatus Leconte, 1856, Arhopalus rusticus (Linnaeus, 1758), Chlorophorus herbsti Brahm, 1790, Rhynchites aethiops (Bach, 1854), Apion meieri Desbrochers, 1901, Apion aeneomicans Wencker, 1864, Rhyncolus sculpturatus Waltl, 1839, Tychius polylineatus (Germar, 1824), Ceutorhynchus interjectus Schultze, 1903
