    Neotypes are designated for the following three species described from Iraq: Anthrenus aradensis Mawlood & Abdul Rassoul, 2003, Anthrenus fabrici Mawlood & Abdul Rassoul, 2003 and Anthrenus unicolor Mawlood & Abdul Rassoul, 2003. The following synonymies are proposed: Anthrenus (Anthrenus) simonis Reitter, 1881 (= Anthrenus fabrici Mawlood & Abdul Rassoul, 2003 syn. nov.); Anthrenus (Nathrenus) molitor Aubé, 1850 (= Anthrenus unicolor Mawlood & Abdul Rassoul, 2003 syn. nov.).
