  • Abstract:
    A consideration of a recent critique of a previous paper by the authors is carried out and several general issues are also discussed. Evidence is produced confirming Dermestes algeriensis Holloway & Herrmann, 2025 as a valid species and not a synonym of Dermestes undulatus Brahm, 1790 (Coleoptera: Dermestidae). The claim that Dermestes kazakhstanicus Holloway & Herrmann, 2025 is a junior synonym of Dermestes fasciventris Reitter, 1881 could not be assessed for lack of evidence available.
