  In this report a list of the invertebrate fauna near Ter Apel, Southeast Groningen, is presented. During the meeting, 15-17 June 2001, a total of 1533 taxa was identified from fifteen orders, among which 881 beetles Coleoptera. Apart from 298 beetle species new to this province, there were also 45 new species of bugs Heteroptera and 42 species of spiders Araneidae (out of a total of only 641). This is an indication of lack of interest of Dutch entomologists for this province, but also of its' richness.
