After a short introduction presenting the history of the research on beetles in the Moroccan region of the Oriental, we explain briefly the methodology used to develop this catalog. The region is then presented, the province of Guercif being excluded. Geomorphology, hydrology, climate and vegetation are successively addresed. Then comes the catalog itself, based on data from the literature and direct field capturing. it lists 2255 species and subspecies present in the region, classified by families. For each taxon, the boundarie of its regional range or the various localities in which it has been encountered are cited. The inventory ends with the annoted list of the species wrongly mentioned in the region or whose presence in it must be confirmed. For each, we also indicate the locality or the places where it has been reported. Finally, the book ends with a brief analysis in the form of a conclusion followed by the consulted bibliography.
