During the weekend of 30 May to the 1st of July, 2014 the 169th annual summer meeting
of the Netherlands Entomological Society took place in the National Park Drents-Friese
Wold in the northern provinces Fryslân and Drenthe. The area was investigated by 48
entomologists, which resulted in records of 1329 arthropod species. Of these, five were new
for the Netherlands, all springtails. Additionally, 60 were new for the province of Fryslân
and 36 for the province of Drenthe. Such numbers clearly indicate that the weekend was a
great succes.
