The 161st summer meeting of the Netherlands Entomological Society took place on 9-11 June 2006. A total of 1408 taxa of eighteen arthropod orders were recorded. Seven species are reported for the first time for the Netherlands: Mochlonyx fuliginosus, Phytomyza buhriana en P. griffithsi (Diptera), Heterarthrus cuneifrons (Hymenoptera), Typhlodromus ernesti, Oligonychus karamatus and Schizotetranychus garmani (Acari).
Dermestidae found: Dermestes undulatus, Dermestes haemorrhoidalis, Dermestes lardarius, Ctesias serra, Anthrenus fuscus.
Dermestes haemorrhoidalis was until recently considered an "imported species" that was mainly observed indoors. In recent years, several finds have been made in the field, including on a light in De Kaaistoep, suggesting establishment outside the immediate human environment.
